I
did not vote for him but indeed I Love my President Rodrigo Roa Duterte the one
sinner – and indeed I Hate all the sins.
Much as I admire US President Donald Trump for love of
country despite opposition moves that have come his way, and it does seem they
are infinite – I as a self-declared journalist am not in agreement with him
when he says:
The fake news media in
our country is the real opposition party. It is truly the enemy of the people!
We must bring honesty back to journalism and reporting!
I have yet to hear Mr Duterte claim that against Philippine media, but no, The Real Opposition Party is
not Dishonesty – the Real Opposition Party is Bare Truth!
Yes,
I agree. It better be the Truth. Best, it must be THINK Truth!
T.H.I.N.K. True? Helpful? Inspiring? Necessary? Kind? If
your piece of news or views does not answer all those simple questions in a
manner that is Positive, then it is Negative – don't you report it!
And that goes for the President of the United States, the
President of the Philippines, and the CEO of Raffler Maria Ressa. It is only
now that I realize why this news organization has adopted that name:
Raffler wants to play raffle
chances with politicians!?
Winners & Losers? Well, it is adrenalin-raising, Miss Ressa.
Winners & Losers? Well, it is adrenalin-raising, Miss Ressa.
I do not enjoy the pleasure of such company.
We all belong to the real opposition if all we think of is
truth and honesty.
What have we done to help our Roman Catholic Church except
condemn it?
What have we done for our poor farmers except link them to
the market and pray that the merchants do not take advantage of them?
What have we done for our sons and daughters who are in
school and are still learning by way of memorizing and reciting?
What have we done with our hospitals except complain that
the government does not give us enough health benefits?
What have we done with the public or private offices that
hire us except complain of the low pay?
What have we done with our respective regional or tribal
cultures except force them to talk & think in Tagalog?
What have we done with our cooperatives? Why are we not
assisting them via public and private agencies to help their poor members
become not only useful citizens but first of all so that they can be productive
and profitable the rest of their lives?
What have we done with our teenagers rich or poor who have
turned to a life of drugs?
What have we done with our educational system that turns out
robots, thinking critically and not creatively?
Finally: What have we done with UP as National University
except allow it academic freedom and never insist on the arts and sciences in
the service of the people – and therefore, UP has the freedom from being involved directly in the
development of the country!?
Filipinos,
let us stop blaming Mr Duterte and start helping our country!517
