There is evil in the Philippines. And not in
disguise!
How then do we as Catholics respond to The Devil's
Challenge? Whatever the provocation, no matter the manner, what are we supposed
to do as believers in eternal damnation but not on this Earth and not now,
certainly not every single day?!
That double-edged question is 2019 but the answer is 2018,
with 5 months in-between. On 12 August 2018, Pope Francis made a call for all
Christians (Hannah Brockhaus, "Fight Evil With Action – Not Apathy,
Francis Says," Crux, cruxnow.com):
If we do not oppose
evil, we feed it tacitly. It is necessary to intervene where evil spreads;
because evil spreads where there are no daring Christians who oppose with good.

Me? I won't dare. To those who have been agitating people to
do another People Power against another Filipino President, I have always said
something like this: "I'm a coward. I'd rather be a living coward than a
dead hero!"
Today, I change my mind; with the above image and message I
saw on Facebook 13 January 2019, Sunday, with its Christian Challenge, I am
initiating a digital intellectual/spiritual movement I call:
Got Good Opportunity? Go Good Opposition! goGO!
Against evil, the gogoGO! slogan is: "Always, Let Us Be Good. Always, Let Us Be Opposition."
So now we can simply be looking for opportunities to
go opposition!
So how to fight without fear or favor?
Pope Francis says, as quoted by Miss Hannah:
If we do not oppose
evil, we feed it tacitly. It is necessary to intervene where evil spreads;
because evil spreads where there are no daring Christians who oppose with good,
"walking in love," according to the warning of St. Paul.
How do we walk in love? From Pope Francis, my
answer to my own question is: "Whatever you do, do good, even if you do not do it well."
Pope Francis says:
It is not enough not
to hate, it is necessary to forgive. It is not enough not to have a grudge, we
must pray for (our) enemies… it is not enough to not speak badly about others,
we must stop when we hear someone talking badly.
Pope Francis quotes St Albert Hurtacio: "It is good not
to do evil, but it is bad not to do good."
Good! Here are 2 examples of goGO:
goGO One:
In 2016, I demolished the grand Duterte plan of "AmBisyon Natin 2040" – and offered a dignified "AmBisyon Natin 2020" (08 December 2016, "Mayor Duterte, AmBisyon Natin 2020! Waging War on Poverty," Alternative Journalism, blogspot.com).

goGO Two:

Let us not be
distracted from addressing other pressing concerns with the fervor of faith and
love: for example… violence in homes and neighborhoods… terrorism, corruption… We
cannot address these problems just by blaming someone. Those who believe in God
must work faithfully and joyfully for the Lord.
Let's goGO! Always, Let Us Be Good. Always, Let Us
Be Opposition!517
